What is God's purpose in preserving a Remnant? What does He desire to do through the Remnant? The short answer is to bear witness to the truth of God. Looking briefly at 1 Kings 19 & Ezra 9-10, we see that God uses the remnant to strengthen leaders for the purpose of bearing witness... But what is the ultimate truth toward which we should bear witness? A faithful Remnant must bear witness to Christ. But have you counted the cost of bearing witness to Jesus, as John the Baptist did?
