As our church plans our giving and prayerful striving for the next three years, we focus on James 4:13-16, which reminds us that we, "... are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. Instead, [we] ought to say, 'If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.'" The aim for this Pledge Sunday, as with every Sunday, is to put all our pledging, all our promising, and all our planning in a humble place under the sovereignty of God, who is over all things. As Pastor Josh unpacks James 4:13-16, be remined that our time on this earth is fleeting, and in all our endeavors we must always humbly bow before the Lord.
