Romans 13:8-10
Love is All Your Owe

In Romans 13:8-10, Paul explains that we owe a debt of love. Paul says that we are in debt and that we pay that debt back through the inward and outward action of love. This paying of the debt of love is the fulfillment of God’s Law. Today, as we look at Romans 13, our focus is not on how love fulfills the law, but on the nature of love itself. There are three questions: (1) how is love a debt; (2) where Paul quotes Leviticus 19 and says that we to love our neighbours as ourselves, how is love related to self-love; and (3) how does Jesus both fulfill and transform this commandment to love? Follow along as Pastor Josh unpacks Romans 13:8-10.
