Romans 14:1-4 & Jude 3-4
A Time to Embrace & A Time to Refrain from Embracing

In Romans 14:1, the Apostle Paul begins a rather lengthy discussion on the importance of welcoming weaker brothers and sisters in the faith, and Christians are called to embrace them without quarrelling over opinions. At the same time, we remember the exhortation from Jude 3-4 where Christians are called to "contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints," and this is to be done among those who have, "crept in unnoticed..." How are we to reconcile these two seemingly contradictory passages? Are we to be contentious within the church? Is there a time to embrace those with different opinions as well as a time to refrain from embracing? If so, how are we to be guided? Follow along as Pastor Josh unpacks Romans 14 & Jude 3-4.
